Hey there!

Let me tell you about the latest caper I’ve pulled off on the streets of Bangor. As a street mural artist, it's my duty to keep you all intrigued. Primrose Street’s got a new look, thanks to a bit of creativity from this artist and a whole lot of love for local legend. Foy Vance. You see, I had this mad idea to splash a bit of local flavour on our walls, and who better to feature than Bangor’s own musical maestro, Foy Vance?

Street Mural Work in Progress Bangor

I’ve tackled Foy in my artwork before, and folks seemed to really dig it (prints are still flying off the virtual shelves in my shop, just saying). So, with a bigger canvas—like, an entire building side big—I got to work bringing the big man to life in paint. This isn’t just any old mural; it’s a shoutout to the talent we’ve got brimming in this city and a nudge to the council that hey, art can really brighten up the place and create a buzz.

I hit up Primrose Street with paints, brushes, and a few sturdy ladders (a scissor lift would’ve been sweet, but we keep things gritty and grounded around here). This artist prefers the hands-on approach. Permissions were squared away, and I was all set for this passion project. It was a journey, alright—blending, rechecking, adding layers upon layers to get Foy just right, his hat and scarf popping against the Bangor backdrop. Go watch the video of the whole process on my socials.

And guess what? The man himself, Foy Vance, dropped a line to say he loved it! How cool is that? It’s not every day you get a nod from the muse himself.

So here’s the thing: Bangor is our canvas, and with every stroke, every colour splash, we’re telling the world we’ve got something special here. This mural isn’t just about making a street prettier - it’s about pride, community, and maybe a little bit of showing off.

For all you street art lovers, Foy Vance fans, and followers of my work (bless you all), this piece is a triple threat designed to draw you into our wee city. And hey, if you’re around, why not swing by and snap a pic? It’s worth the visit, and who knows, maybe you’ll catch me there, planning the next big thing.
