Hey folks!

When I set up my pop-up shop in Bangor, I wanted it to be more than just a place to showcase art—I wanted it to be a space where the community could come together. That idea became reality with Gerry and Julie’s memorial piece.

This wasn’t about creating a mural for the streets; it was something more personal. Instead of putting it on a wall, I decided to keep it inside the pop-up. Memories of Gerry and Julie are deeply personal, and I wanted this artwork to be a tribute that anyone could engage with—without it becoming a public monument for everyone to see all the time.

A Community Collaboration

Here’s what makes this piece truly special: you. From the moment I started, people came in to add their own touches to the artwork. Whether it was a simple message, a small artistic addition, or just sharing stories, the whole piece became a living tribute shaped by the community.

Even local art legends Terry Bradley and Colin Davidson dropped by to add their marks. While their contributions brought a buzz of excitement, they didn’t overshadow the heart of the project—it’s all about the collective effort. This piece belongs to everyone who came through the door and left their own imprint, no matter how big or small.

What’s Next?

Now that the pop-up has shown what’s possible, I’m wondering: What’s the next move? Should I take it back to the streets, bringing art to every corner of Bangor? Or maybe it’s time to think bigger. A larger space, more ambitious projects, more room for collaboration.

What do you reckon? Should the pop-up stay and grow, or should we take this energy and go even bigger? Either way, I’m buzzing with ideas, and I’d love to hear yours.

Thanks to everyone who made Gerry and Julie’s piece what it is. It’s not about making heroes or monuments—it’s about community, shared memories, and creating something that speaks to all of us.

Stay cool, stay creative,
Jossiepops

P.S. Keep your eyes peeled—I’ll reveal where the SOLD piece is headed soon. And trust me, you’ll love where it’s landed. 😉
