(ORANGE) Keith Flint, The Prodigy Original

I’m a Firestarter, Twisted Firestarter...

As a child, I bounced about my room to The Prodigy. I felt like a rebel listening to their music, and then, later on, I enjoyed many a workout shifting weights to their beats.

Keith Flint was a legend of our era, a firebug with bundles of energy. I NEEDED to give this art all the FLARE I could. I grabbed my pencil, sourced a suitable reference pic and turned up the vibe.

As always catch the process below (in the massively sped up YouTube video). I wanted it to be large so it is a full-size A2 image. Sketched the outline, came through with the ink. Then proceeded to layer up the Winsor and Newton shades of grey. Basic colours blotted in, I grabbed my (ORANGE) spray paint and went to town on the background. After that, it was just a case of the detail. Fineliner back in hand and a good couple of hours bringing the artwork to where I was happy with it.
