MARILYN, measuring 122cm x 81cm this piece was nothing but magic to create. This is my first female portrait on the large scale, and I wanted to make it epic. I toyed with who to choose but frankly, there is one woman who is known and admired globally, Marilyn Monroe.

A pleasure to paint, and the final result is so striking and beautiful. This piece is a great talking and viewing point. All your guests will admire you as they admire your choice of art.

Chose a cool reference picture

Roughly white washed a board

Threw down some guidelines

Applied my 1st coat of Tin awesomeness

Brought the detail back through with acrylic pen

Applied the ‘Darkness’ 😵‍💫

Brought The Queen to life 😉
