The 1st of my Northern Irish Legend Portraits is of the Holywood-born Rory McIlroy.
“Rory McIlroy’s golfing story is very much an organic one; from a toddler with a plastic golf club mimicking his father’s swing, to his ascent through the amateur ranks, turning professional and ultimately becoming the international golfing superstar he is today.“

‘RORY’, measuring 122cm x 81cm this piece was so much fun to create. Rory has a really cool look, and I knew I could spend a lot of time studying how to spray, paint and draw on his different features.
A pleasure to paint and the final result is so striking and epic. It is a great talking and viewing point. You will be admired by all your guests as they admire your choice of art.
Make sure to watch the ‘Making of’ video below, but to sum it up, it was as follows:
Chose a cool reference picture
Roughly white washed a board
Threw down some guidelines
Applied my 1st coat of Tin awesomeness
Brought the detail back through with acrylic pen
Applied the ‘Darkness’ 😵💫
Brought The Queen to life 😉
You’re welcome

I loved drawing it, you’ll love viewing it.
Thanks for the order.

Fab piece, big fan of the work and delighted to get it.
I am a huge fan of Foy Vance, and now Jossie Pops too.
I’ve received the charcoal print of Foy in Canada, all the way from Bangor NI, in perfect shape.
Jos has been a great guy to deal with, and the drawing of Foy is sooooo good!
I’m trying to convince him to do a color/graffiti one of Foy lol.
I’m in love with Ireland,(particularly the North) all of her friendly people, her beautiful countryside, the interesting history, and the pubs 😉.
I search for Irish artists of all kinds. I was lucky enough to find Jossie Pops, and Foy Vance.
Thanks again Jos! It’s been a pleasure.
I’ll come and find you next time I’m there so you can personally show me the new mural lol.
From receiving the parcel my husband had no idea what to expect.. after all it was a total surprise. I knew as I’d seen the amazing post on Facebook. His face said it all though. He was absolutely lost for words. He has always been a fan of Rory’s and I’ve got him pictures and bits and bobs along the way during our 2 year relationship.. but as we were just about to celebrate our 1st month of marriage.. seeing this came at the right time. He was overwhelmed and really chuffed with his gift.
I have always admired Jossiepops artwork around Bangor and when I saw that he was working on a Back to the Future print I got excited. Having been to the cinema to watch all the movie and been on the BTTF ride in Universal Studios I had great memories based on the films. I picked it up from the studio and was fascinated by the work that goes into producing these prints. We have it proudly displayed in our kitchen and have now pre ordered the Goonies print!! Keep up the good work JP
